Sepimax Zen® is a versatile pre-neutralized polymer that can independently create clear aqueous gels or act as a thickener and stabilizer in emulsions and surfactant-based systems.
It can be used in many personal care formulations to create a thicker product with a rich and elegant feel, leaving a velvety sensation on the skin.
Basically, it is a polymer for making clear gels and adding a clearer skin feel in certain moisturizing formulations.
Sepimax Zen® was designed to handle up to 10% salt and produces finer, softer foams in personal care products.
It acts synergistically with fatty alcohols (e.g., cetyl, cetearyl, or behenyl alcohols) to significantly increase the viscosity of emulsions (up to 1% in the oil phase).
